Stationary Temperature Monitoring & Cold Chain Storage

How Does a Warehouse Temperature Monitoring System Work?

A warehouse temperature monitoring system ensures that temperature and humidity of a storage facility falls in a specified range. Products, such as produce and medication, need to maintain a specific temperature range to ensure efficacy and safety.

Frequently Asked Questions about Stationary Temperature Monitoring

Temperature can be monitored through monitors, which can detect if an environment falls outside of the needed temperature range. A thermal mapping study can also be used to identify risk areas, since temperature is never consistent in a warehouse or storage facility.

Cold chain goods need to be stored correctly so they don’t spoil or lose their efficacy. For example: If food is not stored properly, it may reduce shelf life and quality or become dangerous for consumption.

Cold chain medicine needs to be stored within a certain temperature range, based on the type of medication. Before storing medicine, it’s important to conduct a temperature mapping study to determine risk areas in a storage facility or warehouse. Monitors should be placed in these areas to alert teams should there be any fluctuations in temperature.
